Educational Therapist and graduated professor in USAL. She worked as a teacher at all levels, Headmistress at Elementary and Kinder Level in Columbia School for 20 years, where she was in charge of the Direction of the English Syllabus as well as coordinating the Educational Therapy and English areas at the same school in Pilar.

 

Assistant professor in Evolutionary Psychology, Group Dynamic and Ethics. She is now leading the Educational Therapy Management Organization with the aim of helping solve problematic situations at school, and at the same time to train teachers and head teachers.

Objectives:

• Updating theories, techniques and approaches on English Teaching. • Emphasizing on the knowledge of second language acquisition and second language learning. • Reflect on its own practice. • Enrich the practice by integrating new resources and methodologies. Building up new methodological strategies.

Contents:

• How young children learn. Review of the different learning methods of the Multiple Intelligences Theory. Window of Opportunities concept. • Language development. Acquisition and development of the mother tongue. Second and Foreign Languages learning. Concept and types of bilingualism. • Foreign Languages theories, approaches and methods. Review of different approaches and methods.

 

• Didactic and methodological strategies. Didactic planning. Selection and sequence of contents, objectives and activities for the different sections of Elementary Level. Methodological material and resources. Making use of time. How to evaluate children's competitions. Criteria for the production of reports of evaluation. How to use the English production: folders, notice boards, exhibitions and displays.

Methodology:

The methodology is Theoretical and Practical. Participatory classes. They will be developed by means of: dialogues, reading and text analysis, group debates and group TPs.
